An unnamed person was using fireworks around 5 post meridian on Monday 4 July 2011. This person managed to set a garage on fire. It did moderate damage to the structure and major damage to the contents inside the structure.
“Unfortunately, you never know where (fireworks) are going to go,” said Steve Babcock, a spokesman for the Lansing Fire Department. “Even the trained professionals sometimes have problems.”
